AquaGuardtm offers a complete line of foundation products for the remedial repair of existing structures as well as end-bearing deep foundations for new construction applications. Our exclusive Foundation Supportworks' product line includes helical pile and helical tension anchor systems as well as push (resistance) pier systems for underpinning existing commercial structures.

With innovative solutions that are appropriately tested, expertly installed, and dependable to perform as promised. The Foundation SupportWorkstm manufacturing facilities are ISO 9001 certified and have been approved by the Canadian Welding Bureau. In addition, our products are galvanized in accordance with ASTM A123 & ASTM A153 standards for hot-dip zinc coatings. All Foundation Supportworks products are regularly spot-checked by engineers to ensure precision and quality.

Professional Engineers and commercial project managers Call AquaGuard for more information.

We also believe in testing our products using conservative standards and procedures, so design engineers and specifiers have realistic expectations of how our products will function in actual field conditions. Where design and testing standards exist, such as with ICC Acceptance Criteria 358, our products are designed and then tested in accordance with those standards.

Commercial Helical Piles

Helical Pile Systems are an extremely versatile new construction deep foundation alternative, used within grade beams supporting heavy commercial and industrial column and wall loads. Helical piles can be installed with hand-held equipment, mini-excavators, skid steers, backhoes, or trackhoes, so the installation equipment can be sized for the project. Helical piles can also permanently stabilize sinking or settling foundations. The piles are mechanically advanced ("screwed") into the ground to appropriate depths and capacities and heavy-duty, L-shaped steel foundation brackets are connected to the tops of the helical piles and installed against the footing. The weight of the existing structure is then carefully transferred from the unstable soils, through the piles, to competent soil or bedrock.

ADVANTAGEScommercial-helical-illustration-3_310

•Helix blade configuration selected to achieve design depth and capacity
•Can be installed in areas of limited or tight access
•Installs quickly
•Installation does not generate spoils
•Vibration-free installation (unlike driven piles)
•Concrete can be poured immediately following pile installation
•Available with optional hot-dip galvanizing for added corrosion protection
•Cost-competitive compared to other deep foundation alternatives

 Commercial Helical Anchors & Tiebacks

Helical Anchors (also referred to as tiebacks) provide lateral stability to foundation walls and retaining walls with unbalanced earth pressures. Helical anchors can be installed with hand-held equipment, mini-excavators, skid steers, backhoes, trackhoes, or crane-supported rigs so the anchors can be installed in almost any application. This versatility, along with the ability to immediately load and test the anchors, make helicals a convenient and economical solution for a wide variety of projects.

•Predictable capacity
•Helix blade configuration selected to achieve design embedment and capacity
•All-weather installation
•Can be installed in areas of limited or tight access
•Installation does not generate spoils
•Clean installation with no messy grout
•Load tests can be performed immediately following installation
•Available with optional hot-dip galvanizing for added corrosion protection

Commercial Push Piers

Push Pier Systems are an effective method for stabilizing and/or lifting sinking or settling foundations. Push Pier Systems utilize high-strength round steel tube and load transfer brackets to stabilize existing foundations. Foundation brackets are secured against existing footings and pier sections are driven hydraulically through the foundation brackets and into the soil below using the combined structural weight and any contributory soil load as resistance. Pier sections are continuously driven until a suitable load bearing stratum is encountered. At that point, the structure either begins to lift or the target pressure/load is achieved. The weight of the structure is then transferred from the unstable soil, to the foundation brackets, through the piers, and to firm load bearing soil or bedrock.

ADVANTAGEScommercial-push-pier_400

•End bearing pier that does not rely on skin friction for capacity
•Portable equipment allows for installation in areas of limited access
•Piers are individually load-tested during installation
•System design allows for lifting of settled structures
•Factors of safety typically range from 1.5 to 3
•Galvanized pier sections for added corrosion protection
